  • Is there an official registration and housing partner for Cultivate?

    Maritz Global Events is the official Cultivate registration and hotel booking partner. Please be aware that Maritz Global Events is the only approved hotel partner for Cultivate. Any others claiming to offer exclusive Cultivate hotel rates are scams.

  • Where is the event located?

    The Greater Columbus Convention Center located at 400 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43215

  • When is Pre-Registration?

    Pre-Registration beings February 12, 2024 at 8:00 AM, ET. Pre-Registration ends February 23, 2024 at 5:00 PM, ET.

  • How does Pre-Registration work?

    If you need hotel rooms for Cultivate’24, we highly encourage you to register during Pre-Registration for the greatest access to hotel accommodations.


    Pre-Registration begins on February 12 and continues through February 23, 2024. Once you complete Pre-Registration, your primary registration contact will receive an assigned date, access link, and instructions for how to book hotel reservations. Hotel booking dates are determined by membership or exhibitor status.


    Hotel booking for those who pre-register begins on March 4 and continues through March 8, 2024. Assigned hotel booking dates cannot be changed. 


    After Pre-Registration closes on February 23, additional attendees cannot be registered until general registration opens on March 12.

  • Am I at a disadvantage if I register near the end of Pre-Registration?

    No need to rush to get everyone added on the first day of Pre-Registration, unless you want to get it crossed off your list early. You can register any time during Pre-Registration and your hotel selection date will remain the same. Make sure you have everyone who will be attending Cultivate’24 registered before the end of the Pre-Registration time period to be able to get the number of desired hotel rooms.

  • Why does the Pre-Registration period involve a two-step process to register and book hotel rooms?

    We have created a two-step process to provide the best customer experience to reduce and streamline wait times. Plus, a specific date to book your hotel lets you know exactly when you will be able to complete your hotel booking.

  • What are the dates and times of hotel selection for those who have completed Pre-Registration?

    Hotel selection for those who have completed Pre-Registration occurs from March 4 through March 8 at 11 AM ET to 10 PM ET daily. Hotel booking dates are determined by membership or exhibitor status and occur as follows:

    • AmericanHort Premium Members: March 4, 2024 at 11 AM – 10 PM ET 
    • Top 50 exhibitors (based on sponsorship and booth size): March 5, 2024 at 11 AM – 10 PM ET
    • AmericanHort Plus Members: March 6, 2024 at 11 AM – 10 PM ET
    • AmericanHort Basic and Individual Members: March 7, 2024 at 11 AM – 10 PM ET 
    • Non-AmericanHort members: March 8, 2024 at 11 AM – 10 PM ET

  • If I completed Pre-Registration and have received my hotel booking email, is there a priority of who can book first on the day I've been assigned?

    No, all registrants within each category (Premium Members; Top 50 exhibitors; AmericanHort Plus and Basic members; Non­AmericanHort members) can book hotels on a first-come, first-served basis on the date specified in the hotel booking email. Dates have been assigned and prioritized based on membership and exhibitor status to provide the best customer service experience. For each of the days, hotel selection will begin at 11 AM ET.

  • How does hotel selection work for those who have completed Pre-Registration?

    At 11 AM ET on your assigned day for hotel selection, your primary registration contact should log in to the Registration Dashboard, either from the Cultivate website or the link in their confirmation email (if you registered as an individual rather than a group, your primary registration contact is you). Only your primary registration contact will be able to log in and select hotel rooms. Multiple people trying to log in from one registration group may cause errors and result in loss of reservations.


    On the Registration Dashboard, a button to “Make Hotel Reservations” will appear when selection is open on your assigned day. Enter the desired dates of stay and number of rooms. Based on these criteria, you will be able to select from hotels with available rooms.*


    Once you have added registered attendees to each room, click the pay now button to add a credit card guarantee. No charges will be made at this time, this is simply a guarantee to hold the rooms.


    Reservations are not complete until the guarantee has been added. 


    Remember! You can only book as many hotel rooms as registered individuals, so if you anticipate needing rooms for Cultivate, make sure to register that number of people during Pre-Registration. Registrations can be transferred later if personnel change at no extra charge but may be subject to a cancelation fee after May 10.


    *Please note: only 15 rooms per hotel can be booked by the same company at each of the following hotels: Hilton and Hyatt. 


  • Can one person register and book hotels for multiple people?

    Yes. When entering registration, attendees should select the “Attendee” button and then select “Group” if they intend to register more than one individual. Exhibitors should select “Exhibitor” when entering registration, and you will automatically be able to register multiple individuals.


    Note: Only one person can register or book hotels on behalf of a group at the same time. Multiple people trying to log in from one registration group may cause errors. 

  • Am I able to book extra hotel rooms for my group?

    You can only book as many hotel rooms as registered individuals, so if you anticipate needing rooms for Cultivate, make sure to register that number of people during Pre-Registration. Registrations can be transferred later if personnel change at no extra charge but may be subject to a cancelation fee after May 10.

  • Will rooms at my preferred hotel still be available if I am not a Premium Member?

    There is an allotment of rooms available at ALL Cultivate hotels for each day of Pre-Registration hotel booking. The number of rooms available on each day may vary and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, meaning that most-desired hotels may be booked quickly.


    AmericanHort works hard to equitably distribute room availability so that all of our attendees have access to these highly desired hotels while balancing the limited available space. We appreciate your understanding. 

  • Can I be guaranteed my hotel of choice?

    Unfortunately, it is impossible for us to guarantee all attendees their first hotel of choice. Registering during the Pre-Registration period in February gives you the best opportunity for securing your top hotel pick. Please remember that since hotels have limited space, opportunity does not guarantee final outcome.

  • What email addresses do registration email communications come from?

    In order to receive all communications necessary for the event, be sure to whitelist both Cultivate@AmericanHort.org and email_confirm@confmail.experient-inc.com

  • When should I expect Cultivate Registration communications?

    • Expect to see several communications in the week before and during Pre-Registration, February 12-23.
    • Your primary registration contact will receive a reminder of your assigned hotel booking date on or around February 28.
    • After General Registration opens on March 12, you may receive periodic communications about registration or other Cultivate programming. 
    • Each individual registered will receive a “Know Before You Go” email on July 3 and 10 with registration and event details. Please save this email, as it will contain a QR code that allows you to easily print your badge at one of the onsite badge printing stations.
    • If you are not receiving Cultivate communications, make sure to sign up for our email list (link to page) and whitelist Cultivate@AmericanHort.org in your email.

  • Is there a pricing difference depending on when I register?

    Rates will increase after June 19. Register any time through June 19 for the best rates.

  • Am I at a disadvantage if I register after March 12?

    If you need hotel rooms for Cultivate’24, we highly encourage that you register during Pre-Registration for the greatest access to hotel accommodations. 


    After March 12, you will still be able to register for Cultivate at the same prices as those who register during the Pre-Registration period. Reservations within the Cultivate hotel block will be subject to availability and highly desired locations may be sold out by this time.

  • What do I do if I have registered but haven't received my confirmation email?

    Log back into your registration dashboard and under "Manage Personnel" you can select what confirmations you would like to send.

  • Can I upgrade my registration package after I have already registered?

    Yes, you can upgrade your package and also add on additional experiences like tours, workshops, or the Women in Horticulture program at any time. This can be done through the registration dashboard or by contacting Maritz Customer Service at: (219) 354-6440 or email Cultivate@Maritz.com.

  • Are registrations refundable?

    Registration cancellations must be made in writing by e-mail to Cultivate@Maritz.com. A refund will be given for cancellations made prior to June 19, 2024, but may take four to six weeks to process. Cancellations after June 19, 2024 will not be refunded. 


    Substitutions can be made at any time without charge. In lieu of cancelling, you may transfer your registration to another person without additional charge. Please submit your request in writing to Cultivate@Maritz.com specifying the registration ID# along with the name and email of the person attending as your substitute.

  • How do I get my name badge?

    Name badges can be printed when you arrive at Cultivate in the registration area. This is located in the North Atrium of The Greater Columbus Convention Center. Check registration hours here.

  • Is there a place to check luggage at the Convention Center?

    Luggage check is provided for the convenience of our attendees at $3 per bag. Stop by the Eisenmann Room at the top of the triple escalators in the Convention Center to drop off your luggage at the times below.

  • Is there a shuttle to the hotels?

    Yes, complimentary shuttles will run from designated hotels to the Convention Center each day of Cultivate. Click here to view the full list of hotels that include shuttle service to the Convention Center.


    Please check at your hotel for the designated pick-up point and shuttle times. All shuttles will depart from the Transportation Zone in Convention Center Connector.

  • How do I become an AmericanHort member or upgrade my membership?

    You can purchase a new membership during the Cultivate registration process.
